Who are these Horsephotos people? What's it all about with them?
The Horsephotos team is Lynn & Wayne. I can tell you all about my years of art training, experience and extensive portfolio, but that isn't what makes me who I am in this industry. Wayne can wax poetic about his years of family horse racing and decades of work in the agricultural business, but there is so much more.
You see, its PASSION. Plain and simple. Passion for that magnificent creature called HORSE is what makes us. I have a sneaking suspicion that passion makes up some part of who you are too.
I was born with that passion, and it leads me on paths and to places that I never expected. All I see is the beauty and humble purity of the horse, it drives me to create in multiple mediums. I really can't help it, I just have to do it! This PASSION has shaped my life in all its facets, mentally, spiritually & physically, but most of all creatively.
Be it image, painting, photo, design, sculpture, written word, or piece of jewelry. I'll use pixels, oil paint, pastel sticks, pigment powder, wax, clay, plastic, photoshop, yarn, pencils, brushes, water, ink, pen & paper, film, fingers, words, beads, metal, sand, sunlight, anything really, to express what the HORSE expresses to me, and through me.
For me, photography is the most amazing medium for those fleeting moments that can be seen only at 1/1000 of a second. Catching the elusive power, speed and agility horses are so eloquently blessed with.
It also allows them to reveal their inner most selves, in their interaction with me. I always consider this a special gift.
And photography also allows exploration of their relationships with us.
